Happy New Year and goodbye :(

To all of the 2014 followers to this blog, I say farewell. I hope that 2015 is a wonderful year for all of the 1K graduates. Just before I sign off, I wish to say happy birthday to Toanui and Ella, who celebrated their birthdays in the holidays.

I’d also like to thank all of the people who donated money to Healesville Sanctuary for the Leadbeater’s Possum. We managed to raise $200. Ask Miss Marson to show you the certificate they sent us.

All the best and stay safe, make sure you come and pop in to see me some time.

Mrs. McKee

Helping the Leadbeater’s Possum

This year the grade ones have been discussing the meaning of giving. We have voted to give up the usual class Kris Kringle gift exchange, in favour of donating the money to help endangered Australian animals. We have chosen to donate to the Leadbeater’s Possum via Healesville Sanctuary. The Sanctuary is at the forefront of bringing about awareness of the Leadbeater’s Possum’s plight, as well as having direct involvement in programs to save its habitat and protect it from feral animals.

We are so proud of our students for voting to give to animals in need. We are asking the students to bring in $2 to donate to Zoos Victoria to assist with their work with the Leadbeater’s Possum.

What a bunch of superstars!

Well done to 1K and 1L for all of your hard work preparing for the school production. You practised every day, dressed up in fantastic costumes and performed your little hearts out. The roar of applause at the end was amazing. You should all be very proud of yourselves. Special mention must be made of Jai, who only had two days to prepare. What a great sport!

Make sure that you get your orders in for your DVD copy of the 2014 production. Please bring in your form, along with $15.
